A charming nude photograph featuring a young Pamela Green, captured by Philip Gotlop, an Associate of the Royal Photographic Society.
Philip Gotlop, a British photographer, authored several photography manuals during his career. His publications encompassed professional manuals and practical guides. It is his later career, however, that brought him greater recognition. In the 1960s, he shifted his lens towards capturing the era’s entertainers, including pop stars such as The Beatles, Cilla Black, Cliff Richard, Neil Sedaka, Johnny Cash, The Kinks, David Essex, Liberace, and television personalities like David Frost, among many others.
Among the several books he penned were five on nude photography:
- The Feminine Figure (1941) – Published by Thorsons Publishers Ltd, London
- Eve Unveiled (1941) – Published by Jarrolds Publishers Ltd, London
- The Technique of Nude Photography, Volumes I (1950) – Published by Thorsons Publishers Ltd, London
- The Technique of Nude Photography, Volumes II (1950) – Published by Thorsons Publishers Ltd, London
- Figure Photography (1952) – Published by Jarrolds Publishers Ltd, London
