June Palmer (1940-2004) should not need much of an introduction to readers of this blog. Excluding Pamela Green, she was most well known and popular of Harrison Marks‘ models. She started modelling professionally in the late-1950s and in the 1960s she setup Strobe Studios in Clapham, South London, with her husband, Arthur Howell.
June retired from modelling in the late 1960s. However, she made a surprise comeback at age 37 with a stunning nude pictorial in the November 1977 issue of Mayfair.
The renowned lensman Russell Gay took this charming photo. The scan is from the original print.
June Palmer was absolutely the image of the sixties. I bought many of the Harrison marks pocket booklets featuring June and other beautiful models of the time.
Good to hear it.
