Pamela Green was born in 1929 and would have been 93 today. Looking down from the great nudist camp in the sky, I’m sure she would be surprised and somewhat chuffed that her website is still going strong. On behalf of her, a big thank you to all the site’s subscribers and her fans. Without you, none of this would be possible.
As a treat, I’ve scanned a rare colour negative taken by Douglas Webb of Pamela – slightly older than we are used to seeing. The photo was taken around August 1970 on one of the locations used in the film The Go-Between. At the time, Douglas Webb was working as a stills photographer in the film industry, and Pam was his freelance assistant.
Joseph Losey directed The Go-Between. Its screenplay was by Harold Pinter — an adaptation of the 1953 novel of the same name by L. P. Hartley. It starred Julie Christie, Alan Bates, and Michael Redgrave. It won the Palme d’Or at the 1971 Cannes Film Festival and was included on the British Film Institute’s list of i100 best British films.
